WordCamp Romania 2024: An Unforgettable Experience

This year, I was part of the WordCamp Romania organizers team, an experience filled with connections, great energy, and unforgettable moments. The joy of coming together with like-minded people and contributing to something bigger than ourselves made every effort worthwhile.

Organizing such a large event taught me the value of teamwork, adaptability, and staying calm under pressure. From planning and preparation to the event itself, every step was a collaborative journey that left me feeling inspired and re-energized.

My main responsibility was sponsorship management:

However, the day before the event and for the 2 days of the event, the whole team helped to set up everything needed for a big event in a collaborative effort. Though I missed most of the talks, the reward came from seeing the event unfold seamlessly and feeling the great vibe of the community.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of WCRO was the opportunity to meet so many incredible people who shared a passion for WordPress and community:

Challenges and Lessons Learned
Like any big event, some things didn’t go as planned, some things we didn’t think about – but we adjusted smoothly. The most important lesson I learned was to embrace mistakes, focus on solutions, and keep moving forward. Thanks, Robert, for the valuable lesson about calm leadership!

It was an honor to contribute to the WordPress Romania community. Even being exhausted after the busy days, the power of creating something great together made me feel energized for many days after the event. This experience reinforced the power of collaboration and connection. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us next!
